Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima company, is seeking a highly motivated, cleared TCC Lead Technician to provide Mission Essential support under the Satellite Control Network Tracking Station Operations, Remote Site, and Mission Partner Support (STORMS) contract at Schriever SFB, CO. The STORMS contract maintains the requirement of operational performance through a consolidated service of operations and organizational maintenance for the SCN resulting in reduced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) costs. The STORMS contract requires employees to perform mission essential functions for high consequence DoD missions during contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemic, or other emergency situations. Responsibilities

  • Provide managerial knowledge as well as technical knowledge, education, and professional training to perform repair, maintenance, and installation tasks
  • Manages a team of technicians, assigns tasks, troubleshoots, creates reports, and maintains customer relationships
  • Supports SCN troubleshooting across the network telecommunications, computer hardware and software, electrical and mechanical equipment that requires on-site end-user support, installation, maintenance, and repairs
  • Performs post-installation repair, calibration, and maintenance as scheduled, applying knowledge of electronics, electrical circuits, adn mechanics
  • Oversee recurring Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) and Service on mission equipment identified in the STORMS contract
  • Check work orders, technical manuals, and diagrams to determine tasks to be performed for installation of repair assignment
  • Maintain and schedule TCC Technicians tasks, work order assignments and scheduled PMIs.
  • Responsible for equipment at the various Base locations responding to service requests with technical equipment to identify and perform troubleshooting
  • Direct TCC Technician duties by supervising and performing all contract specified operations, organizational maintenance, and sustainment activities
  • Direct, assign, and perform, additional duties as assigned (Technical Orders, Safety, HAZMAT, TMDE, tools, vehicle monitor duties, Logistics and Supply)
  • Supervise and perform user account management and system maintenance to include network back-ups, file restores, PMIs, and testing on mission equipment identified in the STORMS contract
  • Enforce use of technical orders, standardized procedures, and applicable examples; perform Sys Admin tasks, unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and analysis for supported mission equipment
  • Direct and assist with performing organizational level software and firmware maintenance. Assist with installation, checkout, and de-install of changes/updates to supported mission systems, with an understanding of previous operational failures and modifications
  • Closely monitor and review shift maintenance training to ensure 100% task coverage
  • Maintain and document shift training records and supervise updates to the Master Task Listing (MTL)
  • Complete daily MSL entries, accurately documenting tasks performed, incidents, and operational updates
  • Update/Review shift 380 screen in IMDS at the begining of every shift, and ensure entries are complete and accurate daily.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly employee shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage, compliance with labor requirements, and alignment with operational needs
  • Prepare and submit weekly activity reports (WAR) summarizing work completed, key metrics, and outstanding items

Qualifications

  • Must have a current DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • DoDM 8140.03 Intermediate Level certification OR ability to obtain within 2 months of hire
  • Bachelor's Degree and (1) or more years of experience; High School Diploma/GED and six (6+) years equivalent hardware experience
  • Possess one (1) or more years of system administration experience
  • Experience supervising and leading technical team
  • Computer and network component knowledge
  • Experience working with Mission Communication Segment equipment
  • Experience with Space Force communication networks and mission control centers, especially at Schriever SFB is highly desirable
  • Are capable of lifting 35lbs unassisted
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
