  • Develop, allocate, and refine system, functional, and lower-level requirements across hardware, software, facilities, and personnel, ensuring they are complete, traceable, verifiable, and unambiguous
  • Contribute to and review systems engineering documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans, JCIDS artifacts, Requirements Specifications, Interface Control Documents, and related plans
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities, develop alternative system concepts and architectures, and evaluate development and operational tradeoffs
  • Define system design solutions that satisfy requirements and functional analysis, including operational concepts, scenarios, and end-to-end flow analysis
  • Establish verification methods, processes, and evaluation criteria, and plan verification efforts early in the lifecycle for new or unproven designs
  • Coordinate cross-discipline resolution of action items from CCBs, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews
  • Manage interfaces throughout the system lifecycle, capturing designs in a common control format and maintaining them in a shared repository
  • Implement and document SOA solutions and architectural views (operational, systems/services, and technical standards) in accordance with DoDAF
  • Support configuration and requirements change management by assessing impacts, maintaining traceability, gaining stakeholder approval, and preserving technical baseline integrity
  • Allocate and manage system performance, timing, process, and error budgets across systems and subsystems
  • Assess program risks, determine probability and impact, and support mitigation planning in accordance with approved risk management processes
  • Provide technical direction for system engineering, integration, interfacing, and testing activities across complex hardware and software components
  • Support DoD and Government certification and accreditation activities, including IA strategy development and security requirement derivation
  • Conduct quantitative analysis of non-functional performance attributes such as reliability, maintainability, survivability, vulnerability, and producibility
  • Establish and follow formal procedures to coordinate system integration activities across multiple teams and interfaces

QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelor's degree plus Fourteen (14) years of relevant experience is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
