Cloud Lake Technology is seeking motivated Field Engineers to support our Emergency Management Sustainment team across 100+ military installations worldwide. In this role, you will help ensure the reliability of Giant Voice (GV) and Audio-Visual Notification Systems (AVNS)-critical communication tools used for emergency alerts and base-wide notifications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical authority for the installation, sustainment, and optimization of GV and AVNS systems, including associated electrical, RF, software, and infrastructure components.
  • Exercise independent engineering judgment to assess system needs, design modifications, and validate or test equipment performance.
  • Lead on-site incident response, root-cause analysis, and high-priority troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and compliance with SLA/KPI standards.
  • Diagnose complex performance, access, and security issues associated with emergency notification systems and specialized software.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve technical documentation, including detailed service reports, engineering updates, geospatial records, and SOPs.
  • Provide expert end-user training and develop/advise on operational best practices for system use, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee safe and compliant use of heavy equipment (boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, bucket trucks, etc.) in support of system sustainment.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Security, Systems Administration, and OEM partners to resolve escalated technical challenges and drive continuous system improvement.
  • Manage travel-based project schedules, prioritize competing tasks, and ensure the successful execution of multi-site sustainment activities.
  • Support organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance initiatives while representing Cloud Lake Technology as a senior technical professional.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Eligibility to obtain a company credit card.
  • Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience or knowledge of Giant Voice (Federal Signal, Whelen, ATI, etc.) or LMR systems (Motorola, Kenwood, Harris).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and participate in on-call support.
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs and work at heights of 10+ feet.
  • No fear of heights.
  • This role requires 95% or above travel.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Electrician certification.
  • Experience operating heavy-duty equipment (boom/scissor lifts, cranes, excavators).
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and construction tools used in GV installations.
  • Experience with test equipment for GV, LMR, and AVNS systems.
