Applied Research Solutions is seeking candidates for a Program Management Support Specialist providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate, Aerospace Management Systems Division (AFLCMC/ESA). The Aerospace Management Systems Division develops, delivers, and sustains air traffic management, CNS/ATM avionics expertise, and weather sensing and forecasting capabilities in support of military, civil, allied, and foreign military sales customers.
This position supports the Fixed Base Weather Systems (FBWS) program and provides comprehensive acquisition program management, reporting, contractor coordination, and project execution support.
The role is aligned to the Front Office Group (FOG), which enables division-level execution and supports the Senior Materiel Leader and Integrated Product Teams through centralized program execution and administrative oversight.
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Shall also possess the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines (Program Office and Staff Level Support interface).
The expected annual salary range:$128k - $140k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.

- Monthly Activity Reports (MARs) – Providing a comprehensive assessment of program activities, performance metrics, and key accomplishments.
- PEO (Program Executive Office) Activity Reports (PARs) – Delivering high-level insights to executive leadership regarding program status, risks, and opportunities.
- Acquisition Planning Baselines (APBs) – Establishing and maintaining a detailed baseline for acquisition activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Notice To the Field (NTTF) – Develop and distribute timely communications to USAF and Army airfields, disseminating urgent and critical information related to FBWS operations and maintenance.
- Ensure all reporting accurately reflects key program performance indicators, including:
- Achievement of key milestones and deliverables.
- Progress against scheduled activities for the upcoming quarter.
- Detailed schedule planning, incorporating critical dependencies and timelines.
- Monitoring of granular progress, identifying and tracking key "inch-stones" to ensure overall program momentum.
Program Management & Risk Mitigation:
- Continuously monitor project activities to ensure strict adherence to contract terms and conditions.
- Proactively identify, assess, and escalate potential breaches or risks to contract compliance, enabling timely mitigation and minimizing potential impact to the program.
- Implement a robust suspense management system to track, prioritize, and manage all outstanding action items and deadlines, ensuring timely resolution and preventing potential delays.
Contractor Support & Coordination:
- Serve as the primary liaison and point of contact for system contractor, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to contractor inquiries, ensuring they have access to the most up-to-date information and resources necessary to fulfill their contractual obligations.
- Facilitate the administrative processes related to contractor personnel, including Common Access Card (CAC) form completion and reverification (every six months), ensuring compliance with security requirements.
- Manage data sharing processes with the contractor, enforcing strict adherence to established security protocols and data governance policies to protect sensitive information.
Project Execution and Delivery:
- Assume accountability for the successful execution of assigned FBWS projects, from initiation to closeout.
- Demonstrate expertise in managing projects such as:
- Mass Labeling Project – Streamlining and improving labeling processes across the FBWS infrastructure.
- Technical Order (TO) Consolidation Project – Reducing redundancy and improving efficiency in documentation by consolidating TOs.
- Publication of TO Consolidation – Ensuring seamless dissemination of consolidated TOs to relevant stakeholders.
Program Support Functions:
- Provide critical program support by identifying, locating, and providing relevant documentation to stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and editing of program-related documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to established standards.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify challenges, develop effective solutions, and contribute to process improvements across the FBWS program.
- Other duties as assigned.
