Finance Analyst

The Finance Analyst (AKA Project Controls) staff member executes work related to financial tracking for all contract activities. Working exclusively on task 2 as a member of the Program Management Team, they track contract funding and expenditures for the purpose of developing reports, invoices, and other documents as required by the contract. They prepare estimates and tracks costs. They provide support to customer requests and contribute to contract management for financial issues. They collaborate with Project Managers for schedule, work execution, financial tracking, and accurate invoice generation. The financial reports they produce include information such as (1) funding source identification, (2) monthly expenditures, (3) overall task order expenditure, (4) labor hour reporting, (5) funds remaining by funding source, (6) financial burn rate trending data, (7) cumulative invoice data, and more. They attend financial status meetings to report and discuss, review, and collaborate on the annual funding plan. They support the preparation of an annual funding plan. They provide budget and fiscal support, which includes analysis and documentation of budgetary information as it relates to meeting requirements, risk discussion, return on investment, value, and outcome. They use software tools such as Costpoint, DELTEK and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) to enter, track and report financial data.
