The Opportunity:
Lead the strategic planning, execution, and governance of complex IT security programs for the organization, including AI/ML security initiatives. This senior role is responsible for directing multiple integrated projects, managing large cross-functional teams, ensuring security compliance, and delivering program outcomes that align with organizational objectives within a SAFe framework.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the execution of large-scale IT security programs with multiple workstreams and project teams
• Develop comprehensive program strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks
• Manage program budget of $500M+ and allocate resources across projects effectively
• Lead SAFe transformation initiatives and serve as a champion for agile practices
• Oversee security compliance requirements and audit preparations across all program components
• Build and maintain relationships with executive stakeholders, sponsors, and partners
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate complex program risks and dependencies
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for program-related services
• Develop metrics and KPIs to measure program success and drive continuous improvement
• Mentor junior program managers and project leads
Qualifications:
Required:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Experience: 8+ years of experience managing large IT programs, with at least 4 years leading DevSecOps-focused initiatives
• Certifications: SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification
• Technical Knowledge: Expert understanding of IT security frameworks, cybersecurity principles, and compliance requirements
• Software Proficiency: Advanced experience with enterprise program management tools, portfolio management systems ,and financial tracking platforms
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
Desired:
• Master's degree in relevant field
• PMP certification
• CSM or other agile certifications
• CISSP, CISM, or other security certifications
• Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps implementation
• Previous leadership experience in government, defense, or regulated industries
