Responsibilities
- Perform essential system administration functions for both Linux and Windows servers.
- Configure, maintain, and automate processes for Linux and Windows servers, including device hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
- Climb ladders to install and troubleshoot sensor devices.
- Apply fixes, patches, and upgrades in a timely manner; troubleshoot server issues.
- Administer customer accounts and assist with escalated customer tickets.
- Deploy monitoring tools and applications.
- Monitor Windows and Linux servers to ensure optimal performance and security.
Qualifications
Required
- Active TS/SCI w/ Poly
- Experience in Windows and Linux server system administration
- VMware architecture administration experience.
- Knowledge of physical and virtual servers.
- Application administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Security+ certification.
- Education and Experience:
- 10 years with High School Diploma/GED
- 8 years with Associate's Degree
- 6 years with Bachelor's Degree
- 4 years with Master's Degree
- 2 years with Doctorate's Degree
Desired
- Hardware installation and cabling experience.
- Experience with monitoring tools.
- Network experience including architecture, switch administration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with AWS/VMs.
