Responsibilities
Provide onsite full stack development support for a data repository and visualization platform. Shape and implement the new cloud architecture for the platform. Technical tasks include the following:
- Deploying and maintaining services in the cloud
- Building out containerized environments
- Maintaining Cloud infrastructure once implemented
- Provide input on network design and implementation strategies
- Working closely with team members to gather requirements
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Server-side development (Node.js, Python, or similar)
- RESTful API and GraphQL design and implementation
- Secure, scalable backend service development
- Microservices architecture design and implementation
- Containerization with Docker
- Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB or similar)
- Schema design, migrations, indexing, and performance tuning
- High-volume and high-concurrency data environments
- CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance
- Automated testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Performance optimization using caching, load balancing, and queueing
- Experience with Redis, Memcached, or similar technologies
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and modern frameworks (React or Lit)
- Ability to partner effectively with frontend teams for seamless integration
- Experience supporting LLM-powered or AI-driven applications
- Designing systems for mission-critical environments
