Position closes 1/7/26 - We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage, integrate, and optimize the underlying infrastructure and platforms that host our diverse application portfolio. This role requires expertise in operating systems, network principles, virtualization, cloud deployment, and robust scripting/programming skills to ensure high availability and performance across the entire environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Operating System and Platform Management:
o Serve as the SME for managing and maintaining core infrastructure running on Windows or Unix/Linux operating systems, ensuring stability, patching, and performance optimization.
o Oversee the deployment and configuration of servers and resources supporting MS Desktop and Web Programming applications.
• DevOps and Automation:
o Lead the implementation and maintenance of DevOps methodologies and tools to automate system provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.
o Develop and manage scripts (using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages) for system automation, monitoring, and administrative tasks.
• Cloud Infrastructure and Integration:
o Strong experience and direct involvement in cloud development, including infrastructure setup, resource scaling, and managing hybrid environments that connect to our on-premises systems.
o Support the deployment of applications and services (Java, .NET, Web Services) into the cloud environment.
• Application Environment Support:
o Provide expert-level support and integration for critical platforms, including systems supporting Lotus Notes Programming and Web Application Programming.
o Ensure the proper function of underlying services utilized by classification tools and their associated scripts and web services.
• Tooling and Testing Integration:
o Integrate and maintain system-level monitoring, logging, and performance tools.
o Work with the QA team to integrate Automated Testing Tool results for environment validation and regression testing.

Programming/Scripting: Expertise in multiple programming/scripting languages for automation and system management, including: Lotus Notes, JavaScript, JAVA, C, C++, .NET, HTML, XML, and Python/Java.
Application Support Foundation: Strong understanding and experience supporting systems related to Office, emails, and web development.
Optional Requirements:
Classification Systems Integration: Experience managing and developing infrastructure for classification marking tools/software.
