Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our customer, U.S. Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) at Ramstein Air Base Germany, with the implementation of Combined Joint All-Domain Operations (CJADC2) systems. The ISSO will work closely with end users and staff to accredit and support USAFE-fielded systems.

What You Will Do

  • Complete required tasks to ensure C2 systems effectiveness and accreditation to operate.
  • Represent USAFE CJADC2 professionally while in primary location and temporary locations.
  • Collaborates with Program Managers, Cyber Risk Assessors, System Owners, and others to complete required RMF items to ensure accreditation & use of systems (ATO, ATC, IATT).
  • Work with system owners and others to develop SOP's for use of systems and perform tasks typically performed by System Admins, System Engineers, Security Engineers, and FSR's.
  • Utilize eMASS for RMF process, including creating the required documenting and utilizing cyber assessment tools to create required artifacts (STIG, SCAP, ACAS, etc.).
  • Ensure configuration management process and INFOSEC policies are effective and followed.
  • Evaluate products/proposals to determine they meet functional and security requirements; liaise with USAFE and HII POC's to maintain situational awareness of purchase & delivery.
  • Develop methods to ensure a level of risk is kept to a minimum, and re-evaluate as needed.
  • Produce technical documents and diagrams to support accreditation & use of systems.
  • Utilize IT System Admin / Engineer skillsets to assist or complete cyber and operational tasks related to keeping systems operational and accredited to operate.
  • Assist in or complete the scan/patch process to keep cyber-risk as low as possible.
  • Assist in or complete the installation, troubleshooting, optimization, or hardening of hardware, software applications, and operating systems to ensure system effectiveness.
  • Track status of milestones, equipment delivery, operations and maintenance tasks, and other required items; and be able to present this to CJADC2 leadership and Cyber Assessors.
  • Remediate self-assessment findings, where possible, and develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for all unresolved findings.
  • Interact with key stakeholders (site Information System Security Manager (ISSMs), PMO system, and other site POCs) to facilitate the collection of data required for input within each A&A project.
  • Ensure all assigned systems are continuously monitored.
  • Actively monitor changes to configuration of assigned systems and ensure that accreditation packages are updated accordingly.
  • Familiarization with NIST SP800-53.
  • Ensures compliance with security standards and policies to protect sensitive data and systems from threats.
  • Other tasks as required to support customer requirements.


What We Are Looking For

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Support of Theater Air Control System (TACS), CJADC2 or other ISR organizations, or Joint / Combined efforts.
  • Working knowledge of TDL Link16, ADSI/JRE, MSCT, TRAX, WAVE, TAK, VoIP, RoIP, COMSEC, SATCOM (Milsat /Comsat), and small communications packages.
  • Relevant Information Technology certifications that highlight systems, network, & cyber skills.
  • Experience using eMASS or other Risk Management Framework (RMF) systems.
  • Active DOD 8570 IAT Level III Certification (CISSP, etc.).
  • Understanding and experience with the Information Assurance Vulnerability Message
  • (IAVM) program, and comprehensive knowledge and experience with DoD Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and/or DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies and procedures.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA
  • CompTIA Advanced Security Practicer (CASP) or CompTIA SecurityX from CompTIA
