Cyber Security Forescout Engineer (TS/SCI CI Polygraph)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seekinga Cyber Security Forescout Engineer to support a critical Enterprise Cyber Tools program for an Intelligence Customer in the D.C. Metropolitan area. The team is seeking an individual who is well-versed across a variety of incident response, endpoint detection and IDS/IPS technologies to support a critical mission.

Responsibilities of the Engineer:

• Collaborate with a team of experts dedicated to implementing and managing next-generation security solutions for government and commercial clients.
• Conduct hands-on evaluation, deployment, and operation of advanced cybersecurity defense tools and technologies.
• Develop and apply comprehensive defense strategies across large, complex networks to quickly identify vulnerabilities and threats, prioritize remediation efforts, and implement effective countermeasures.
• Contribute thought leadership in a highly collaborative, innovative environment to address and resolve complex security challenges.
• Work as part of a team to engineer solutions for intricate customer challenges, leveraging expertise in network engineering, system administration, and Active Directory.
• Play a critical role in mission success by safeguarding data and networks against malicious actors and payloads.
• Involved in hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and technologies, all while growing as a team to deliver the best solutions for our clients.

Qualifications of the Engineer:

• TS/SCI CI Polygraph required
• IAT II certification (Sec+, CYSA+, etc.), CCNA preferred
• Ability to obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support Certification prior to start date (CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CND, etc.)
• Proven experience in architecting and designing IP networks, including creating and documenting network topologies.
• Hands-on expertise in network engineering—both physical and logical—covering tasks such as port installation and activation, switch configuration, and management of LANs, VLANs, firewalls, network appliances, and administrative services like Active Directory, guest LANs, and domain management.
• Strong understanding of multi-domain architectures, including data center, WAN, and LAN environments within virtualized infrastructures.
• Over 1 year of experience in Windows or Linux systems administration, including basic troubleshooting, installation and configuration, performance and availability monitoring, and implementing security updates.

Compensation of the Engineer:

• Total compensation based on experience level - $135,000-$155,000+ **based on years of experience and degree level**
