Position Summary
The Training Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive training programs for maintenance personnel and end-user staff. This role works closely with technical subject matter experts, graphic designers, and eLearning developers to produce high-quality, multimodal training content that supports both CONUS and OCONUS operational and deployment requirements. The Training Specialist ensures training materials are effective, accessible, and aligned with mission and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with technical staff, graphic designers, and eLearning developers to design and develop training curricula and instructional content for maintenance personnel and end users.
Develop and maintain a wide range of training materials, including:
Instructor-led training materials
Hard-copy manuals, catalogs, and reference guides
Online and eLearning content
Video-based training modules
Virtual reality (VR) and simulation-based training materials
Ensure training materials and programs are prepared and available to support OCONUS field deployments and operational requirements.
Deliver training both in-field and in-house, supporting operational environments as required.
Conduct training sessions in multiple languages, including but not limited to English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Dari, and Russian.
Participate in on-site training events alongside technical staff to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with system functionality and operational procedures.
Develop and implement training evaluation and assessment processes to measure training effectiveness, learner comprehension, and overall program success.
Collect, analyze, and incorporate feedback to continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
Maintain training documentation, schedules, and version-controlled materials in accordance with organizational standards.
Support updates to training content resulting from system changes, technical upgrades, or revised operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Training, Technical Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience developing and delivering technical or operational training programs.
Familiarity with instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and designers.
Ability to deliver training in multiple languages, including English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Dari, and Russian.
Willingness and ability to travel, including OCONUS travel, in support of training and deployment requirements.
