Job Description

The Program Manager will support the VC-25B (Air Force One replacement) Systems Integration IPT, focusing on military airworthiness certification for a large executive transport. This is a leadership-heavy role requiring coordination across military, civilian, and contractor teams, while ensuring compliance with acquisition regulations and program execution standards.

The candidate will organize meetings, track complex tasks to completion, report progress to senior leadership and routinely interface with a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Program Management Support
    • Draft, review, and track program documents and actions.
    • Ensure acquisition effectiveness and compliance with FAR/DFARS.
    • Maintain quality control across deliverables.
  • Leadership & Coordination
    • Organize meetings and track complex tasks to completion.
    • Interface with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
    • Present accurate, high-quality updates to senior leadership.
  • Execution & Oversight
    • Support contract execution, delivery objectives, milestones, and cost performance.
    • Collaborate with technical leads to oversee personnel and technical task management.
    • Ensure corporate resources are leveraged effectively.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Develop long-term objectives to meet future contract requirements.
    • Perform horizontal integration planning across functional areas.
    • Ensure timely implementation of program deliverables and schedules


Minimum Qualifications

  • Security Clearance: Current Secret clearance; must be able to obtain Top Secret.
  • Education/Experience:
    • B.S. in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field + 6 years relevant experience, OR
    • Master's degree + 4 years relevant experience, OR
    • High School diploma + 10 years relevant experience.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Strong communication and public speaking.
    • FAR/DFARS expertise; general knowledge of DoD 5000.02 acquisition systems.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
    • Proven ability to manage complex defense programs.
    • Risk management expertise (identification, communication, mitigation).


Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
