The Cloud Database Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing databases in our cloud environment, ensuring high levels of data availability and assisting in the development of data models.
Candidates should have an in-depth understanding of database structure principles and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
Database experience should include relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.), graph databases (Neo4j, ArangoDB, etc.), search and analytics engines like ElasticSearch, and other noSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and manage databases in cloud environments
- Maintain and manage database security and disaster recovery processes
- Monitor system performance, ensuring optimal database performance
- Develop and manage backup and restore procedures
- Work closely with development teams to optimize database usage
- Implement data models, database designs, data access and table maintenance codes
- Resolve database performance and capacity issues
- Provide support and guidance to stakeholders regarding database management and policies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field.
- 5 + years of relevant work experience
- U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity
- Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding
- Proficient in database software/web applications
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases
