Job Description:
Develop and maintain web applications and APIs with geospatial data processing capabilities. Build data pipelines and integration workflows using a cloud-first development approach with AWS CDK. Requires expertise in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and frontend frameworks including React, Vue.js, or Angular. Implement microservices architecture, event-driven patterns, and message queuing systems like ActiveMQ or Kafka. Focus on data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, real-time data processing, and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes on AWS. Involves advanced data analytics, Machine Learning/AI, database engineering, and DevSecOps practices including system security and compliance. Utilize monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. Experience with Agile methodologies and technical team leadership is beneficial, with additional proficiency in Go, Java, or C#.
Required Skills:
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with cloud-first development approach
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS CDK for Infrastructure as Code
• 3+ years building complex, reusable CDK constructs and stacks
• 3+ years implementing multi-environment deployment strategies using CDK
• 5+ years of advanced Python development experience
• Expertise in frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django for API development
• Strong experience with data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Apache Spark)
