Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable data layer solutions to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable data ingestion and transformation.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to integrate data sources and ensure data quality.
- Implement best practices for data modeling, storage, and retrieval to maximize performance and maintainability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data layer issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Document data layer architecture, processes, and standards.
- Stay current with emerging data technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow, Kafka, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services.
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
