About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Geospatial Research Manager to lead our geospatial research initiatives in Miami, FL. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geospatial research projects from conception through completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.
- Develop and implement research strategies that utilize geospatial data and technologies to address complex problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, GIS analysts, and external partners to integrate geospatial insights into broader organizational goals.
- Oversee data collection, processing, and analysis using GIS software and other geospatial tools.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in geospatial research and recommend adoption where appropriate.
- Prepare and present research findings to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geospatial research or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proficiency with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in spatial data analysis, remote sensing, and geostatistics.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
