Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data lakes using cloud platforms and big data technologies.
- Implement data ingestion pipelines to collect structured and unstructured data from various sources.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data lake infrastructure and pipelines.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data lake architecture and big data ecosystems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience working with data lakes, big data platforms, or cloud data services.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, Glue, Athena), Azure (Data Lake Storage, Data Factory), or Google Cloud (BigLake, Dataflow).
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar technologies.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
