We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, enhance, and support enterprise-level workflow and automation capabilities. This role involves hands-on development, platform customization, API integrations, CMDB governance, and asset management functionality in a secure, mission-driven environment. The position requires onsite support and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple service domains.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow components, including forms, lists, UI actions, UI policies, client scripts, business rules, and custom applications.
Build, optimize, and troubleshoot complex workflows to support mission requirements and operational processes.
Lead and execute development tasks related to request management and workflow automation across multiple lines of service.
Utilize advanced JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting to implement backend logic, automate processes, and enhance platform performance.
Develop and maintain secure API integrations with external systems; coordinate with system owners to ensure reliable communication and data flow.
Maintain, enhance, and enforce CMDB governance by improving data structure, accuracy, and overall configuration management processes.
Configure and optimize Discovery to ensure consistent and accurate asset and configuration item records.
Support and improve Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) capabilities.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, leadership, and end users to gather requirements, demonstrate functionality, and support platform adoption.
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
6+ years of ServiceNow development experience within federal, DoD, or large enterprise environments
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow backend/frontend scripting
Hands-on experience developing workflows, client scripts, UI policies, business rules, and custom modules
Experience designing and supporting API integrations and cross-platform data exchanges
Practical experience with CMDB management, Discovery, SAM, and HAM
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work onsite daily and perform the physical duties of the role as required
Highly Desired Skills
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Advanced experience with SAM/HAM processes and governance
Strong background in workflow design, troubleshooting, and optimization
Experience improving CMDB data quality, hierarchy, and governance structures
Expertise in Discovery configuration, tuning, credentials, and integration points
Experience managing high-volume request or catalog environments
