The Opportunity :

The role involves supporting SAG-U's efforts to build and sustain relationships with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) by scheduling and coordinating meetings, engagements, and discussions with AFU personnel as directed by the Government Site Lead (GSL). Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of correspondence such as invitation letters, emails, and phone calls, and arranging meeting logistics. The position also requires helping SAG-U leadership conduct feasibility reviews and simulations of SAG-U strategies and plans, identifying problems, critical friction points, and risks in SAG-U planning and strategy. Additionally, the role involves providing translation services for interactions with Ukrainian personnel if an official translator is not present, delivering written reports and observations from interactions with AFU partners regarding the Advisory invasion of Ukraine, and contributing to official Partner Engagement reports. The Battle Ground Intelligence Planner will prepare observation summaries, analysis reports, presentations, and briefings as directed by the GSL, and maintain and update a consolidated contact list of all UKR AFU and government personnel interactions

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, engagements, and discussions with AFU personnel as directed by the Government Site Lead (GSL).
  • Assist in the preparation of correspondence, including invitation letters, emails, and phone calls, and arrange meeting logistics.
  • Help SAG-U leadership conduct feasibility reviews and simulations of SAG-U strategies and plans.
  • Identify problems, critical friction points, and risks in SAG-U planning and strategy.
  • Provide translation services for interactions with Ukrainian personnel if an official translator is not present.
  • Deliver written reports and observations from interactions.
  • Prepare observation summaries, analysis reports, presentations, and briefings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a US Accredited College or University with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience.
  • TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience working for the US Armed Forces in a deployed combat environment.
  • Experience working with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) or a Ukrainian government or academic institution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of US Joint military organizational structure, military equipment, operations, orders, and principles.
  • Understanding of Advisory tactics and strategies, drone warfare, collection capabilities, AFU strategy and tactics, Unmanned Systems strategy, and UKR AFU logistics and medical capabilities.
  • Knowledge of equipment and arms donated by the US, NATO, and other partner nations employed by the AFU.
  • Willingness to work overtime and deploy to austere or hostile environments on short notice (8 hours' notice for Europe, 48 hours' notice for worldwide travel).
  • Proficiency in the Ukrainian language equivalent to the Ukrainian HEADSTART 2 module from the Defense Language Institute or higher.
  • Statement verifying no adverse actions against them over the past three (3) years as a Contractor or Contractor Employee of the US government.
