Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conducting system administration studies and engineering related solutions for various projects and operational needs; 2) Performing regular security monitoring to identify vulnerabilities as well as possible intrusions; AND 3) Overseeing the development of technical data, estimates, statistics, and other information useful to higher level managers in determining which goals and objectives to emphasize.
IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
(1) Attention to Detail - Lead others by setting the standards for the quality of work, even in the most difficult and/or high-pressure circumstances. Review and edit work completed by others to ensure that the quality of work meets acceptable work standards.
(2) Customer Service - Use expertise and experience to address complex problems, questions, or complaints. Anticipate customer needs and modify the team's work activities, processes, and practices to meet these needs. Collaborate across team and outside of own team to organize planning sessions that elicit ideas for improving customer service and support.
(3) Oral Communication - Clearly explain and defend complex ideas, appropriately adapting to each audience's level of knowledge. Actively listen and clarify points when presenting highly complex and controversial findings. Use well- constructed, fact- based arguments to persuade stakeholders/officials to take action on suggestions for improvement.
(4) Problem Solving - Provide precedent setting solutions to unique problems not previously encountered. Help team make decisions which are complicated by the number and nature of existing policy, guidelines, and organizational goals. Identify the root causes of problems; develop systemic solutions to address them and prevent them from reoccurring.

- Make recommendation on CJ-6 organizational structure and personnel requirements, identifying developmental and training needs of employees, and providing or arranging for training, and ensuring goals are aligned in accordance with the directorate.
- Have direct reporting responsibility to the NATO Standardization Office (NSO) Commandant.
- Serve as the lead Systems Administrator, responsible for the full scope of operations and maintenance across diverse on-premise networks and complex cloud-based environments.
- Make key decisions related to implementing system upgrades, security patches, and change packages, ensuring secure data transmission and maintaining stringent security controls.
- Manage a $1.5M information systems budget, forecasts needs, allocates resources, and ensures all IT activities are carried out within budget constraints.

- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
- Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
- Medical and dental care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical and dental facilities will vary by location.
- Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
- Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc. Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and DoDI 1400.25 volume 1250.
