Duties
As a Human Resources Assistant (MIL), GS-0203-07 (RAPIDS Operator), you will manage the DEERS/RAPIDS System; update system with the current programs and software; troubleshoot problems with the DEERS/RAPIDS System; issue ID Cards to soldiers, dependents, retirees and civilians within the armed forces; assist individuals with problems with their records if not on file, updating information in the DEERS/RAPIDS system; perform reception duties and answer questions about eligibility, benefits and other pertinent information; review applications for completeness, accuracy and eligibility requirements; compile reports; secure all equipment for DEERS/RAPIDS System and the CAC Deployable systems; troubleshoot technical problems with the CAC Deployable; train personnel to operate the ID Card Stations; perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : (Must have at least 12 months) experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience performing personnel transactions. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.
Education
You must provide transcripts to support your educational claims. To receive credit for education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the education requirements for this position.

- NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
