Summary:

The Security Analyst Must be capable of performing IT security analysis; performing network and systems security, conducting security product evaluations; securing information systems; developing security, producing certification and accreditation documentation; administering certification testing; and other similar activities.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
  • Maintain working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA), and NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidance and policies
  • Outline functional areas of improvement, propose viable solutions, and determine technical methodologies
  • Review the metrics collection methods/products used by National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Authorization Office (NAO) and field personnel for the purpose of assessing consistency and quality standards
  • Review and evaluate A&A artifacts in submission documentation
  • Provide information security services such as system security documentation evaluation and other support activities connected with the implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Evaluate system security package submissions for authorization of classified systems against defined DCSA and Government technical standards

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of the Defense Security Service (DSS) Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), RMF, all National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, and National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid client service and time management as well as written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least three years of experience in Information Security
  • Certified at IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)
  • Approved personnel with Secret clearance
  • Pass an employer background check
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Requires up to 50% travel, both CONUS and OCONUS

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA or BS degree in Information Technology or Cybersecurity preferred
  • IAT Level III Preferred


Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 annually.
