Koniag Management Solutions (KMS) is seeking an experienced and certified Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our IT team and lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow (SNOW) solutions that drive business value and operational excellence. This role will be responsible for architecting and delivering complex ServiceNow applications, mentoring junior developers, and serving as a technical subject matter expert across the ServiceNow platform. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of our ServiceNow initiatives while maintaining Agile best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Senior Level ServiceNow Developer works closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This individual will lead development efforts, establish best practices, and ensure the successful delivery of ServiceNow modules and integrations. Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow applications and modules across ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, and other platform capabilities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between the SNOW development team and business stakeholders to promote transparency and visibility around the SNOW platform.
  • Lead technical design sessions and create architectural documentation for complex ServiceNow solutions
  • Develop custom applications, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and integrations using JavaScript, APIs, and web services
  • Perform system integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications using REST, SOAP, and other integration methods
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the ServiceNow platform
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, new features, and industry best practices
  • Participate in platform upgrades, testing, and release management activities
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for all development work
  • Support Agile development approach for feature and platform delivery
  • Support change management activities related to ServiceNow implementation

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
  • Experience with at least (2) full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations (Design through O&M)
  • Proven track record of developing in multiple ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, ITBM/SPM, CSM, HR, or Security Operations)
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades, migration, and or integration projects
  • Must hold at least one of the following certifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in one or more areas
  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or working toward certification

Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Reporting
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, or Event Management
  • Experience with ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework)
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow IntegrationHub and spoke configurations
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, data models, and configuration management database (CMDB)
  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow development tools: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Workflows, Flow Designer
  • Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal and UI Builder development
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Customer service orientation with focus on delivering business value
  • Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery processes
  • Capability to adapt to changing requirements and project dynamics

Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, including advanced scripting techniques
  • Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP API development and integration patterns
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with other ITSM platforms or enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • PowerShell, Python, or other scripting language proficiency
  • Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, AngularJS, and Jelly
  • Version control systems experience (Git, SVN)
  • Database knowledge and experience with relational databases
  • Experience leading technical teams or projects
  • Strong presentation and training skills
  • Business process improvement and optimization experience
  • Prior consulting experience

Security Requirement:
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Travel:
  • Minimal travel required (less than 5%)
