An employer in the Greenville, TX market is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team. The software engineering team is responsible for enabling seamless communication and data exchange across multiple domains. It facilitates command and control messaging between ground operators and aircraft while ensuring uninterrupted streaming audio between entities. Critical information such as aircraft navigation, assignment data, tracks, intercepts, and lines of bearing is disseminated efficiently to support mission success. Additionally, the system integrates with airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms to enhance operational awareness. Robust file transfer capabilities allow substantial data movement, primarily from aircraft to ground sites, while global interconnectivity provides worldwide network solutions and localized services like domain name resolution. Furthermore, the architecture supports third-party software implementation, enabling external applications to be incorporated seamlessly into our systems.
• Operating Systems: Primarily Linux-based with some Windows integration.
• Programming Languages:
o C/C++: The majority of our codebase.
o Java: A strong secondary language that's expanding.
o Web Technologies: HTML/CSS/JavaScript, a growing focus area.
o Scripting: Bash (predominant), Perl, and Python.
• Front-End/GUI Development: Crafting user interfaces for better user experiences.
• Back-End Services: Building the core computational logic of our applications.
