Duties

• Legislative and Governmental Liaison Officer and Strategic Advisor to the President of the MRC (Mississippi River Commission)

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Conducting budget processes, financial reporting, and funding mechanisms for civil works projects; such as feasibility studies, construction, and operations; Managing multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and policy experts, to deliver complex infrastructure projects; Analyzing and managing the interconnected systems of river basin hydrology, navigation, flood control, and water resources in the Mississippi River Basin and Providing guidance on environmental regulations, permitting processes, stakeholder engagement, and public policy issues related to waterway management.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-14.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
