We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to support cloud initiatives, maintain enterprise applications, and ensure the security and stability of multiple Linux-based environments. This role requires strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work within a structured shift schedule while supporting mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support cloud-based solutions aligned with customer and program requirements
Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication across multiple systems and environments
Maintain program-owned applications such as JIRA, Atlassian Suite, Bitbucket, and RocketChat to ensure a collaborative and reliable operational environment
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Linux systems, defining network requirements, user metrics, and system documentation
Support system development needs through environment configuration and maintenance of PPSM artifacts
Perform operating system baseline hardening, patching, and security compliance activities
Manage and troubleshoot multiple environments while collaborating with Enterprise Services and security teams
Participate in system documentation including VDDs, network diagrams, and data flow diagrams
Work within a Panama Day Shift schedule to support continuous operations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline
2–4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar technical role
Active CompTIA Security+ certification
At least 2 years of hands-on AWS experience (EC2, S3, Reserved Instances, etc.)
Strong Linux administration background and familiarity with infrastructure management best practices
Experience using Agile collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and RocketChat
Ability to create and maintain system engineering documentation (VDDs, network diagrams, data flows)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proactive and self-directed work style
Preferred Qualifications
Additional AWS experience or exposure to other cloud service providers
Understanding of AWS cost optimization and performance tuning
Experience with cloud-based architectures and cross-domain environments
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and system monitoring tools
Experience participating in Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Change Management processes
