Raytheon Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking a Flight Test Engineer to support the Raytheon Multi-program Testbed (RMT). The RMT is a highly modified Boeing-727 flight testbed supporting a wide array of advanced RTX flight test programs including Radar, EW, MFEOIR, and next generation sensors. This position requires full-time duties at our R27 Hangar facility in Ontario, CA with occasional work at other test sites.

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

What You Will Do
- Support engineering design reviews and aircraft modification work.
- Perform systems installation, integration, ground testing, and aircraft reconfiguration work.
- Serving as a Console Operator to provide program technical and systems support during flight tests.
- Operate and maintain mission systems and test equipment per test requirements.
- Develop and update technical documents, including wire configuration lists and integration support documentation.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and develop solutions with program system operators.
- Perform work in classified and SAP environments
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering, design and development
- Ability to operate consoles in a noisy and sometimes stressful flight test environment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand test equipment schematics.
- Experience with test equipment and test execution
- Experience in troubleshooting aircraft electrical, cooling and systems hardware
- Ability to obtain interim secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
- 4 years of flight test or avionics testing and integration experience
- Experience working with engineering teams and flight test projects
- Ability to troubleshoot issues between test equipment, software, and hardware
- Experience with government test planning, flight test, and working classified SAP programs
- Experience with liquid cooling systems.
