Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
- Lead design and development activities based on system requirements.
- Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
- Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
- Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
- Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.
- Guide system development and implementation planning through the assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
- Interact with government entities regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and resolve associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
- Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
- Communicate effectively with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 20+ years of experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
- Exposure to Azure/AWS/VMs
- Knowledge of databases and data modeling
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience or be familiar with several of the below technologies:
- Jira
- CI/CD
- DevOps
- Docker/Kubernetes
- Ansible/Salt/orchestration tools
- Linux
- Networking appliances and applications
- Python/Django
- Java
- JavaScript
- Angular/React
- Elasticsearch/Spunk/SIEM
- Monitoring tools

- Additional experience and expertise in the listed technologies and methodologies.
- Self-starter with a motivated and proactive attitude.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
