AIP is looking for a Payroll Clerk to work in Brownsville, TX. The Administrative Clerk IV- is responsible for day-to-day payroll entry operations and office procedures to ensure critical business processes flow continually. This role requires a focused and distraction-free work environment to ensure high levels of productivity and attention to detail. Team members are expected to limit non-essential conversations during work hours to maintain a quiet and efficient work space. Collaboration and communication are encouraged when necessary for task completion, but independent work and self-direction are key components of success for this position. Responsibilities

  • Accurately record employee hours in compliance with CBA guidelines.
  • Ensure time sheets are fully completed and include all required signatures.
  • Identify and correct time sheet issues before they become payroll discrepancies.
  • Ensure deliverable reports are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain payroll files.
  • Process and maintain payroll correction documentation.
  • Accurately reconcile processed work by comparing weekly/monthly reports verifying entries.
  • Answering the phone and responding to e-mails in a timely manner
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Expected to enforce boundaries during high-priority tasks and professionally limit interruptions, including turning away non-urgent walk-ins during payroll processing.

Qualifications

  • US citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence and have resided in the U.S. for the last five years.
  • Must have a minimum of one year payroll experience.
  • 1-year Associated Degree in Accounting in lieu of experience.
  • Pass a criminal background and consumer credit check (no criminal record).
  • Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance.
  • Pass all pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Must exhibit a high level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse population of people, including people of different cultures, with different values and lifestyles, with a cross-cultural perspective.
  • Maintain current/physical residence in the continental United States.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong comprehensive reading skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
