As the Personnel Security (PERSEC) Specialist You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interface with customers at all levels. You should be effective at organizing and prioritizing customer/management requests within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong communications skills are expected to include excellent writing, speaking, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills. Must be a self-starter and capable of working with a limited level of supervision and guidance, be committed to continuous learning and professional development, and work well as a member of cross-functional teams.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

What You Will Do
- Requests security paperwork from candidates and ensures the paperwork is accurate and complete
- Reviews and processes requests for personnel clearances for access to classified programs
- Upload Personnel Security Questionnaires (PSQ) from candidates to eSecurity database
- Submit Personnel Security Clearance Justification on required candidates
- Implement federal security regulations that apply to company operations
- May participate in security compliance inspections as needed
- Protects employee's personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and other applicable Government regulations

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires: a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Working experience with JIRA, JADE, DISS, Access Commander, and eSecurity
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of NISPOM and DoD 5205.07
- Administrative and office management background
- Ability to solve problems of limited scope and complexity
