The Opportunity:
As a Physiotherapist , you will provide expert technical assistance and
recommendations for inclusion of Kinesiology and Physiotherapy science and
practices in curricula and curriculum development. Collaborate with training
development professionals, advise and recommend lesson plan materials for
incorporation in Program of Instruction (POI), and training resource requirements analysis. Serve as the expert on Kinesiology and Physiotherapy. Provide physical therapy techniques and expertise to develop and implement injury recovery, and injury prevention plans that include education, exercises, and mobility stretching techniques. Inform, instruct, educate, and coach SOF Soldiers and Leaders at the point of need and in field environments.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as expert for Kinesiology and Physiotherapy with a degree in physical therapy from an accredited college approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- Maintain physical therapist licenses, certifications, and credentialing in order to provide accredited advice and/or recommendations (accreditation through the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital and Professional ethics and Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) policies and directives.
- Maintain proof of medical insurance, certifications, and credentials in Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS), Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), and be Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC).
- Ability to use Government software for order imaging and lab test, etc.
- Ability to use Government software for documentation in GENESIS and Smartabase.
- Train, mentor, coach, and assist assigned instructors in technical aspects of
- Kinesiology.
- Recommends and develops Kinesiology and Physiotherapy curriculum.
- Instructs and educates Kinesiology and Physiotherapy sciences and theory.
- Assess physical conditions.
- Develop and recommend treatment plans for injury recovery and rehabilitation.
- Educate service members on injury prevention and lifestyle health.
- Instruct and educate pain and injury prevention techniques, exercises, equipment, and mobility stretching.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy.
- Licensure or registration with a national or regional physiotherapy board or association.
- Completion of clinical internships during academic training.
- Practical experience in various settings such as hospitals, private clinics, sports facilities, and rehabilitation centers.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Desired:
- Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
- Practical experience in various settings such as hospitals, private clinics, sports facilities, and rehabilitation centers.
- Post-graduate residency programs in specialized areas such as orthopedics, neurology, or sports physiotherapy.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as manual therapy and assisting patients with mobility.
