HII Mission Technologies seeks an experienced On-Site Team Lead to serve as the single point of contact for contractor operations supporting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Air Delivered Capabilities Directorate - Secure Storage Division. This key personnel position will lead contractor coordination for high-visibility nuclear weapons programs including the Weapon Storage and Security System (WS3), Vault Modernization Program (VMP), and Disablement Management System (DMS) Modification Program.

As the On-Site Team Lead in the NDW portfolio, you will be the primary interface between HII contractor personnel and Government leadership, ensuring seamless contractor operations and mission success. This role requires strong leadership abilities, knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, and the ability to coordinate complex, multi-faceted contract activities in a highly regulated environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for all contractor work performed under the Performance Work Statement
  • Provide overall leadership and coordination for all contractor personnel assigned to the NDW contract across Kirtland AFB and Lackland AFB locations
  • Ensure all contractor work performed meets contract requirements and maintains quality standards
  • Provide direct administrative support to the Division and Branch Chief
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, scheduling, and communications between contractor and government personnel
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of contractor activities, deliverables, and performance metrics
  • Maintain awareness of all contract requirements, modifications, and compliance obligations
  • Support transition activities for personnel changes, ensuring continuity of operations with no service degradation
  • Coordinate with Acquisition Specialists/Program Managers to ensure integrated contract performance across WS3, VMP, and DMS programs
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and government leadership
  • Support contractor staffing management including replacement planning and gap mitigation strategies
  • Ensure contractor personnel maintain required security clearances and training certifications
  • Ensure contractor compliance with all contract terms, security requirements, and quality standards
  • Support Quality Assurance Program Plan implementation and contractor quality control processes
  • Coordinate responses to government surveillance observations and corrective action requirements
  • Maintain awareness of contract deliverables and ensure timely submission meeting government inspection standards


Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in a technical engineering field, business, or management or 8 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in a technical engineering field, business, or management
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in contract management, program leadership, or related roles supporting DoD programs
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience coordinating or managing diverse teams
  • Must possess and maintain SECRET security clearance
  • Strong knowledge of DoD 5000.02 acquisition systems and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project for schedule management and coordination
  • Experience with contract administration and government contracting protocols
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills for multi-task coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) for interaction with government customers and contractor personnel
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build effective working relationships across organizations
  • Problem-solving capabilities with focus on proactive issue identification and resolution
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in dynamic environments
  • High attention to detail with commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to Lackland AFB or other government facilities


Preferred Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in contract management or program leadership roles
  • Experience supporting Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center or similar nuclear weapons programs
  • Experience with defense acquisition lifecycle, FAR/DFARS requirements, and contract modifications
  • PMP certification or demonstrated project/program management expertise
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project for developing and maintaining integrated master schedules
  • Previous experience as a team lead, site lead, or program manager with personnel supervision responsibilities
  • Familiarity with nuclear certification processes (AFI 63-125) or nuclear weapon system programs
  • Experience coordinating activities across geographically dispersed teams
  • Master's degree in engineering, business, or management
