The Senior Information Technology Engineer will lead the Engineering /Integration/Installation and Testing team. In this role, the Senior Information Technology Engineer will provide technical expertise and leadership as an escalation point for all personnel performing engineering and implementation tasks under this program. The Lead IT Engineer will provide expert level advice to the Government stakeholders with regards to architecture and engineering options, with implementing and operating with best practices, and methodologies to integrate solutions and solve problems while providing network and systems engineering, integration, installation and testing support for engineered solutions within US Networks and Mission Partner Environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages multiple complex technical projects involving US Networks and Mission Partner Environments
  • Coordinates Joint, Combined, and Coalition Stakeholders at multiple echelons to secure all necessary allied support for successful technology implementation and integration.
  • Provides comprehensive maintenance, subject matter expertise/guidance and ongoing support for the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment, ensuring optimal performance, compatibility, security, and availability
  • Manages the monitoring, patching and upgrading, of hardware and software applications in both hardware and virtualized environments, and collaborating with other IT teams
  • Provides detailed documentation (operational guides, troubleshooting procedures, training materials) and conduct thorough knowledge transfer to government personnel for UAG, TrueSSO, RDSH, AppStacks, Application Settings, and User Profiles
  • Maintains and updates the VMware Horizon environment, considering factors like data center locations, user counts, use cases, Active Directory integration, disaster recovery, and deployment models (Active/Active, on-premises/cloud). This includes but is not limited to configuring Horizon Pods, Cloud Connectors, Jump Servers, and SSL certificates
  • Leverages Horizon for published applications (RDSH configuration required) and virtual desktop pools, accounting for user needs, system images, and appropriate sizing
  • Utilizes App Volumes for application abstraction, focusing on AppStack creation, validation, and writable volumes
  • Maintains and updates the Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) for user profile management, creating tailored application settings and user profiles.
  • Maintains and updates Unified Access Gateway (UAG) for secure remote access (RADIUS authentication) and NSX for application security and isolation, including NSX Global/Manager Clusters, transport nodes, logging, and role-based access control. Mandatory NSX workshops are required
  • Maintains and updates Horizon True SSO for seamless integration with Active Directory.

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:
  • Five (5) or more years' experience with technical project management on US Networks or Mission Partner Environments
  • Must have a TS/SCI clearance
  • Certification in Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), CSM, CISSP, ITIL or IAT (or industry equivalent) /IAM defined DOD 8570.01-M / DOD 8140. IAM-III
