Responsibilities
- Manage Active Directory, including approving systems for reimage/wipe and placing devices in the appropriate Active or Deleted Organizational Units (OU).
- Add and remove printers on the print server.
- Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve routine and complex hardware/software issues.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 deskside support for workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Configure and deliver IT equipment based on customer Change Orders (COs).
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software problems using various tools and techniques.
- Ensure proper system setup and operation to support end-user business tasks.
- Receive, prioritize, document and actively resolve end user help requests.
- Maintain knowledge of diagnostic and help desk request tracking tools, as well as remote and in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.
- Assist with network hardware under supervision.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Assist with Asset Management and Inventory of IT assets.
- Assist with security vulnerability remediation.
- Return failed equipment to good working order and demonstrate the equipment to the user.
- Work as a team member in the installation, configuration, repair and maintenance of computer equipment, peripherals, and applications.
- Perform repairs and conduct operational checks, and preventive maintenance service on computer systems, related systems and office equipment.
- Ensure timely responses to reports of unexpected malfunctions or failures.
- Document all task responses, labor and material usage data as required.
- Work with System Administrators to maintain network resources.
- Perform other duties as required, which may include:
- Accomplish assigned tasks in closely related fields
- Respond to changes in work schedules and/or locations
- Support other sections on the ITSS contract
- Participate in formal, on-the-job and cross-training
Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Active 8570 baseline certification IAT Level I (A+, Network+ or equivalent) or IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent)
- Relevant education/experience requirements:
- 0 plus years with Masters
- 1 plus years with Bachelors
- 3 plus years with Associates
- 5 plus year with no degree
- Experience must include technical knowledge of installing, configuring, repairing, and maintaining software, hardware, configurations and peripherals.
- Ability to isolate equipment/system/software malfunctions and restore failed equipment to good working order.
- Experience conducting operational checks and replacing defective parts and assemblies.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as cable making/repair, IP address schema, and LAN implementation and configuration.
