We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator with an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph to support, maintain, and enhance high-security network environments. This role requires hands-on experience with OSPF routing, high and low-speed network operations, and enterprise-class network equipment. The Network Administrator will plan, install, configure, test, operate, and document network systems while ensuring security, availability, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Administration
Plan, install, configure, test, and maintain high-speed and low-speed networks using COTS hardware/software.
Perform scheduled network status checks, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
Provide detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configuration records, and operational notes.
Establish and manage user accounts, access privileges, and enforce security policies.
Network Design & Implementation
Plan and implement LAN architectures for high and low-speed connectivity.
Configure and deploy common network devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN appliances.
Develop and implement VPN solutions, including site-to-site VPNs via hardware-based firewalls.
Integrate new technologies into existing network environments.
Routing, Protocols & OSPF
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot OSPF routing environments (required).
Perform routing analysis, optimization, and validation.
Equipment Configuration, Testing & Maintenance
Manage and evaluate hardware firmware revisions; test and deploy updates when appropriate.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise-class network equipment (firewalls, routers, switches).
Install and troubleshoot fiber cross-connects and backbone connectivity.
Audit hardware/software changes and maintain accurate inventory records.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with Security System Technicians to ensure proper connectivity and system integration.
Coordinate with corporate network teams to establish and maintain secure corporate/VPN connectivity.
Performance Monitoring & Security
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, latency).
Test for network weak points and assist in mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with security requirements and operational policies.
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (mandatory).
Minimum 6 years of experience in network system/subsystem support and maintenance.
Current certification in at least one of the following:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
CompTIA Network+
Hands-on OSPF experience (mandatory).
