The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled System Integrator to join our team supporting the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE). In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the complex integration of various naval training systems, ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms for high-fidelity training experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, and implement integration solutions for connecting multiple naval training systems, simulators, and live training environments into a cohesive NCTE architecture
- Develop and maintain system interfaces, middleware components, and data exchange mechanisms to support interoperability across diverse platforms
- Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity between distributed training sites and systems
- Create and implement data mapping strategies to enable meaningful information exchange between disparate systems
- Perform system validation testing to ensure integration points function correctly under operational conditions
- Develop technical documentation including interface control documents, integration procedures, and system architecture diagrams
- Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and subject matter experts to resolve integration challenges
- Support exercise planning and execution by configuring integration components to meet specific training objectives
- Participate in technology refresh initiatives to incorporate new capabilities into the NCTE ecosystem
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in systems integration, preferably in military or simulation environments
- Strong understanding of systems architecture principles and service-oriented architectures (SOA)
- Experience with simulation protocols such as DIS, HLA, and TENA
- Knowledge of network protocols, data formats (XML, JSON), and API integration techniques
- Proficiency with scripting and programming languages (Python, PowerShell, Java, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Desired:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field. 3 years of relevant work experience as a Systems Integrator within a U.S. Government environment, DoD strongly preferred.
- Experience and working knowledge of JBUS, and JSAF
- Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
