Support our client’s early warning missile detection and tracking system. This software-based solution uses IR satellite sensor data to generate accurate 3D track states of missile trajectories—pinpointing launch origin, current position, and projected impact. The system plays a critical role in protecting the U.S. from foreign missile threats by relaying actionable intelligence to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). These teams provide direct access to cutting-edge projects in R&D, AI/ML, DARPA, SDA, and MDA.
Job Title: Software/Algorithms Tracker
Location: Boulder, Colorado 80301
Relocation: Can be discussed
Focus Area: MDA Missile Tracking & Prediction
Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
Salary Ranges:
• Level II: $90,000 – $130,000 ($112K midpoint)
• Level III: $110,000 – $165,000 ($138K midpoint)
As a Software/Algorithms Tracker, you’ll combine aerospace and software engineering to develop algorithms for missile tracking and prediction. You’ll be hands-on with C++ development and algorithm design, contributing to sensor exploitation, object/event detection, and trajectory modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement algorithms for IR sensor data processing, state estimation, and satellite tracking.
• Translate physics-based equations into C++ code for real-time missile trajectory prediction.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and participate in technical peer reviews.
• Evaluate system performance, track residuals, and integrate code into operational systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects using simulated and live sensor data.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ (full life-cycle development).
• Familiarity with Kalman, Kepler, and polynomial filters.
• Experience with OPIR, EO sensors, and image/signal processing.
