ASRC Federal's Summer Technology Readiness Intern Development Experience (STRIDE) offers undergraduate college students the chance to apply their technological interests and knowledge to exciting real-world missions.
We are seeking two Business Systems & Data Integration Interns to support our CECOM Software Engineering Center (SEC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland . This role is a temporary, hybrid position.
Work location : Hybrid (1-2 days onsite) in an office environment located at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Local candidates preferred. Relocation assistance, housing, or stipends are not provided.
Security: Must be a US Citizen to obtain a Secret clearance and successfully complete a government issued background investigation to access to customer site ( must have lived continuously in the continental United States for the past three years)
Summary: This internship will assist in developing data dashboards, automating manual workflows, integrating information across systems, and supporting engineering and IT teams who use emerging technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform, Salesforce Lightning, and Appian.
This is an ideal opportunity for a student pursuing a technical or information systems-related degree who wants real-world experience supporting DoD digital transformation initiatives.

Education :
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Must be a current junior, senior or graduate student in college at the time of application.
Key role :
- Support the design, development, and enhancement of low-code/no-code applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate), Salesforce Lightning, or Appian.
- Assist in building dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support Army decision makers.
- Help integrate data between systems and support process automation efforts.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions with analysts, engineers, and business users.
- Support documentation of workflows, system updates, and development activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting, testing, and validating application functionality.
- Provide general support during Agile sprints, stand-ups, and team meetings.
- Ensure all work complies with DoD cybersecurity, data management, and quality control standards.
Basic Qualifications :
- Foundational understanding of data concepts-tables, relationships, basic visualization principles.
- Interest in learning low-code development tools (Power Platform, Salesforce, Appian).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Exposure to any visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar).
- Experience analyzing data sets, building charts, or supporting school projects involving data.
- Familiarity with SQL, databases, APIs, JSON/XML, or workflow mapping.
- Prior experience building any type of automation or low-code application (academic or personal project is acceptable).
- Interest and willing to learn new technology such as Army Vantage, AI and prompt engineering
