ASRC Federal's Summer Technology Readiness Intern Development Experience (STRIDE) offers undergraduate college students the chance to apply their technological interests and knowledge to exciting real-world missions.

We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern with AI/ML focus to support an Army customer in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. This role is a temporary, onsite position.

Work location : Onsite in an office environment located on base at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Local intern candidates preferred. Relocation assistance, housing, or stipends are not provided.

Security: Must be a US Citizen to obtain a Secret clearance and successfully complete a government issued background investigation to access to customer site ( must have lived continuously in the continental United States for the past three years)

Program dates: 10-week summer internship, June 1 - August 6, 2026

Hours: 32 hours per week

Summary: Seeking a motivated intern with a solid foundation in software engineering and a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This internship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and integration of AI/ML capabilities that enhance intelligence operations, improve workflows, and strengthen collaboration across the Intelligence Enterprise. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in applying innovative technologies to support Army intelligence missions.

Education :
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be a current junior, senior or graduate student in college at the time of application.


Key Role:
  • Work with technical teams to support the sustainment, modernization, and integration of data into Army operations.
  • Help identify and prioritize emerging AI/ML integration needs across the Army Intelligence Enterprise.
  • Participate in team meetings and working groups, contributing creative ideas to address real-world challenges.
  • Assist with exercises, demonstrations, and field activities to see how data integration systems are applied in practice.
  • Research current and emerging techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) for data integration, offering input for refinement.
  • Contribute to advanced initiatives such as Palantir's AIDP and other applications and tools.
  • Apply software engineering principles to support the integration of AI/ML applications into intelligence systems and workflows.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Have a basic understanding of software engineering principles, data integration, and AI/ML concepts.
  • Are familiar with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++; experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus.
  • Show interest in learning about intelligence systems, workflows, and capability development processes.
  • Are curious about cloud frameworks, SaaS applications, and enterprise-level data integration.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Are comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite to create reports and presentations.
  • Communicate clearly and demonstrate a willingness to learn in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.
