Job Description:

We are seeking a Subcontracts Administrator (SA) for our Melbourne, Florida business. This position will be responsible for the unique challenge of managing complex projects with general oversight on interpreting operational processes, practices, and procedural improvements within the Broadband Communications System (BCS) Brevard SATCOM Programs through the analyses of data.

The successful candidate for this position shall be able to provide comprehensive analyses to help BCS SATCOM Programs achieve desirable results within the Supply Chain and its impacts on Finance, Operations, Program Management, Production Planning, and Engineering Support which will enable key stakeholders to manage or make decisions that directly impact program results. Must have knowledge using multiple research methodologies, to include identifying and assessing market trends, and able to report results in various formats to assist with forecasting and decision-making.

Essential Functions:

  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Supply Chain and communicate effectively with various functional organizations and executive leadership.
  • Oversees supply chain activities, including metrics, KPIs, proposals, and cost savings initiatives, while advising senior management.
  • Manages supplier bid and proposals, ensuring compliance with schedules and cost targets, and collaborates with engineering on technical scope of work.
  • Possesses knowledge of contract types, government proposals, and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development.
  • Candidate should have strong attention to detail, Excel skills, working experience with developing Tableau reporting and data visualization, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications and the ability to work in fast-paced deadline driven environments.
  • As a direct report to Supply Chain Management the incumbent for this position shall assist the Sr. Manager of Supply Chain with researching, analyzing, and reporting on contractual solicitations, executions, management, closeouts and market trend data necessary to help Supply Chain and SATCOM Programs with forecasting and decision-making.
  • Experience with researching, analyzing, and reporting on processes, systems, or products.
  • Reviews technical Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring clarity and eliminating ambiguity in requirements.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of FAR/DFAR requirements, Prime Contract flow downs, and supply chain strategies.
  • Develops strategic acquisition solutions from capture to execution, working closely with PMO and Contracts to mitigate risks.
  • Provides expert support for proposal activities, develops BOEs for Subcontract Management labor, and ensures alignment with Supply Chain proposals upon prime contract award.
  • Some travel may be required.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years prior supply chain experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 6 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite of tools, including Excel.
  • Proficient with MRP systems.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, quality commitment, customer focus, strong interpersonal skills and be adaptable.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and program teams.
  • Be a self-starter and team player.
  • DoD contract experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR/ITAR laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience in managing various types of complex subcontracts, including hardware, software, complex services subcontracts, and follow-on/production subcontracts.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
