The Opportunity:
As a CACI GIS Analyst, you will assume a critical leadership role in supporting the United States European Command (USEUCOM) Joint Operations Center (JOC). You will support the development and integration of geospatial content for Palantir and Esri-based systems. This role involves utilizing advanced Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies to enhance intelligence, operational planning, and decision-making for EUCOM's global mission.
As a GIS Analyst, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering geospatial data and visualizations that support EUCOM's operational and strategic objectives. You will work closely with intelligence officers, operational planners, and technical teams to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of critical geospatial information.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and integrate geospatial content, including maps, data layers, and analysis tools, for use in Palantir and Esri-based systems (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, Palantir Foundry, etc.).
• Ensure the geospatial data is accurate, timely, and compatible with the operational requirements of EUCOM.
• Collect, manage, and maintain large datasets, including satellite imagery, vector data, and geospatial databases.
• Create, configure, and deploy GeoEvent Server services for live data ingestion.
• Manage data stores across ArcGIS Data Store, SDE, and SQL Databases.
• Perform spatial analysis to assist with operational decision making, including terrain analysis, geospatial modeling, and scenario planning.
• Create high-quality visualizations such as interactive maps, 3D models, and geospatial dashboards for mission planning and decision support.
• Work closely with various teams, operational planners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective geospatial products.
• Provide technical support and training to users of Palantir and Esri systems.
• Assist in the management of permissions, access controls, and data sharing protocols for GIS content.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of geospatial data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS software, data compatibility, and system performance.
• Required to be part of the Emergency Relocation Group (ERG) and maintain Continuity of Operations (COOP) in a time of need. This includes movement to alternate locations to perform duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Cartography, Environmental Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Top Secret/SCI DoD security clearance Required (U.S. citizenship required).
• Certification or coursework in GIS (Esri ArcGIS, Palantir Foundry)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS analysis, with hands-on experience in Esri-based software (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro) and/or Palantir platforms.
• Strong experience with geospatial data management, analysis, and visualization.
• Familiarity with Palantir Foundry or other advanced analytics platforms.
• Experience with spatial data formats (e.g., shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML) and data integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex geospatial data and provide actionable insights.
• Experience in spatial analysis, modeling, and geospatial reporting.
Desired
• Familiarity with Python scripting for automation of GIS tasks and data processing.
• Experience with SQL databases and GIS data querying.
• Knowledge of geospatial database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with military operations and how geospatial data supports mission planning and operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating clear documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
