Overview:
The Employee Relations Specialist provides administrative and analytical support to the Director of Employee Relations and contributes to the overall employee experience at IDT. This role supports the full spectrum of employee relations activities-including exit interviews, turnover analysis, internal investigations support, ADA accommodation tracking, employee surveys, and engagement initiatives-to promote a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.

The Employee Relations Specialist provides administrative and analytical support to the Director of Employee Relations and contributes to the overall employee experience at IDT. This role supports the full spectrum of employee relations activities-including exit interviews, turnover analysis, internal investigations support, ADA accommodation tracking, employee surveys, and engagement initiatives-to promote a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.

Responsibilities Include:
- Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the Director of Employee Relations.
- Coordinate and conduct voluntary exit out-processing sessions and interviews; document themes and prepare exit analysis summaries.
- Prepare exit documentation and related communications to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze employee turnover statistics and trends; prepare regular reports and dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including focus groups, surveys, and data collection to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in internal employee relations investigations, including documentation, evidence organization, and follow-up tracking.
- Assist with receiving, documenting, and tracking ADA accommodation requests; ensure timely follow-up and compliance with ADA and company policy.
- Maintain confidential employee relations files, databases, and metrics in accordance with company policy and federal contracting requirements.
- Prepare and update standard communications, templates, and reports related to Employee Relations activities.
- Partner with other HR functional teams on initiatives that enhance employee experience, morale, and retention.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Work with the Security team to monitor and track compliance with IDT's Security Clearance Policy, including follow-up on overdue or incomplete clearance actions.
- Assist in organizing new-hire engagement activities, including CEO/Director of ER lunch sessions and feedback discussions; track emerging themes and improvement opportunities.
- Support employee recognition and awards programs, including logistics, communications, nomination tracking, and partnership with the Director of ER to enhance program engagement.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to Employee Relations, compliance, or HR operations required.
Required skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues confidentially and professionally.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paycom or similar).
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Familiarity with FLSA, ADA, FMLA, and other employment laws a plus.
- Prior experience in a government contracting or defense industry environment strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10%
