Job Summary
The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities
CMMC Compliance Implementation:
- Implement technical and operational security controls and changes across the IT environment to meet specific CMMC requirements (e.g., access control, configuration management, incident response). Documentation & Policy Contribution:
- Assist in the creation of new CMMC-specific policies, procedures, and system security plans.
- Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and updating of existing security documentation, policy, and standards to align with evolving regulatory requirements. Security Administration:
- Execute routine security administration tasks, including user access reviews, vulnerability scan analysis, and security control monitoring.
- Assist in applying new security controls as directed Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with Executive Team to ensure security controls are implemented efficiently and effectively without disrupting critical business functions.
- Reporting: Provide regular, concise status updates and reports on CMMC compliance progress and implementation activities to the CTO and CIO
Full Stack Development
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Minimum Top Secret Clearance
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree..
- Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end development.
- Solid understanding of Python, JavaScript, UX and Graphic design
