The Opportunity:
The 9/11 Victim's Compensation Fund ("VCF") Team is engaging in a Transformation effort to optimize the processes and systems that support the 9/11 victims' injury and loss claims. The VCF Transformation Project will result in the implementation of a new operating model, updated policies and procedures and thus creating a new claims processing system, called myVCF. The VCF Transformation Project is seeking resources for the design, development, and delivery of training for internal and external audiences, with a focus on substantive training for the VCF staff on policies and processes that cover the full end-to-end claims lifecycle. The Training Specialist will be an articulate and highly motivated individual who will work under the guidance and direction of the Training and Communications Lead. They will develop and deliver highly effective Firm-wide substantive and software training programs for the 9/11 Victim's Compensation Fund and associated law firms.

Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for designing and delivering new and on-going training sessions and software demonstrations in a classroom/workshop format, virtually (using Teams) or deskside.
- Create and maintain training content including, but not limited to, e-learning content (using Adobe Captivate), Instructor-Led Training decks, quick reference cards, etc.
- Conduct evaluations and need assessments to identify areas of improvement in the training curriculum.
- Provide one-on-one support and on-going coaching to help individuals improve.
- Manage training schedule, logistics, and maintaining records of learner progress and training activities.
- Work collaboratively within the training team to ensure clear and consistent messaging, track progress, and address performance or skills gaps across the organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt training content and training style to suit different audiences.
- Assist "User Support" with support calls as needed.
- Staying current with training trends, best practices, and new technologies relevant to the field.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3-5 years' experience as a technical/software trainer within a corporate environment, preferably a law firm environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
- Can communicate complex information effectively.
- Ability to learn, document and train on software applications quickly.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Works effectively with all levels of the organization - both independently and in teams.
- Travel to law firm locations up to travel 10%.
