Location: Annapolis Junction / Ft. Meade
Responsibilities
- Conducts and plans laboratory research, designing, developing, and executing studies in advanced manufacturing, novel materials, and integrated photonics.
- Applies scientific principles and concepts to early-stage products, quantum sensing, hardware trust, and advanced additive manufacturing.
- Coordinates interdepartmental activities and research on photonic sensors, advanced antennas, and radio frequency systems to support project objectives.
- Participates in the development of intellectual property and provides technical consultation on solid-state and quantum information science projects.
- Prepares and maintains documentation of research results, analyses, and findings for advanced computing systems and high-impact research initiatives.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
Level 1 Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required plus two (2) years of relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of six (6) years experience.
- OR: Master's degree from an accredited college or university is required plus one (1) years of relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Level 2 Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required plus eight (8) years of relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of twelve (12) years experience.
- OR: Master's degree from an accredited college or university is required plus seven (7) years of relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- OR: PhD from an accredited college or university is required plus four (4) years of relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Level 3 Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required plus twelve (12) years of relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of sixteen (16) years experience.
- OR: Master's degree from an accredited college or university is required plus eleven (11) years of relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- OR: PhD from an accredited college or university is required plus eight (8) years of relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
