APK Solutions is seeking a part-time Strategic Plans and Budget Execution Support Specialist to join our team on a high-visibility contract supporting an IC customer. This role is ideal for someone with strong budget lifecycle expertise, excellent communication skills, and a desire to support mission-focused leadership and program teams.
Location: Chantilly, VA
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic planning and budget execution support across the full federal and agency budget lifecycle.
Develop, analyze, and maintain BASIS, TSR, and COGNOS reports to support financial tracking and decision-making.
Coordinate closely with senior leadership, RM Points of Contact, and office PMs/COTRs/Branch Chiefs to ensure timely, accurate budget data and alignment with mission priorities.
Support preparation of budget documentation, briefings, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor funding status, burn rates, and reprogramming needs; identify risks or variances and recommend corrective actions.
Assist with planning, forecasting, and strategic prioritization efforts across the contract.
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of the federal and agency budget lifecycle, to include formulation, justification, execution, and reporting processes.
Hands-on experience with BASIS, TSR, and COGNOS reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to brief and communicate effectively with leadership and technical/non-technical stakeholders.
Experience collaborating with Resource Managers, PMs, COTRs, and Branch/Office leadership.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality support in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting the IC or similar mission organizations.
Familiarity with IC financial management processes and systems.
Active TS/SCI with FSP
