Job Description
SALARY RANGE $105,000 - $165,000/year.
DUTIES As a successful candidate for the Software Engineer I role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based on documented requirements. You will work individually or as part of a team, review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, and document test results. You will resolve software problem reports and utilize software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Additionally, you will provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, the use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) solutions in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from the system level to individual software components.

• Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project

• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage, and work processes; and investigate problem areas

• Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design
QUALIFICATIONS Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

• DevOps, Automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines in Git
• Container and Container Management, i.e., Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher
• Modern software languages such as Go/Golang and micro-service architecture development
• C++20 or newer based on Boost (2 years)
• Java (2 years)
• Front End Development with JavaScript and/or React or other frameworks
• Python (1 year)
• Linux Development Environment (1 year)
• Circuit Switched and Mobile Telephony (1 year)
