The Chief Architect will be responsible taking ownership of the program architectural baseline and vision. The Chief will oversee and ensure changes added or modified in the software baselines are in alignment with the program and customer's vision for the enterprise. The architect is expected to have a good foundation in understanding the Enterprise's vision for continuing to grow the geospatial intelligence mission. The Chief Architect will work hand in hand with the Chief Engineer to ensure there is cohesion with the technology and business strategy for the product developed. Note that this position will have up to 25% travel required to support customer visits.

What You Will Do

• Provide technical leadership within Space ISR.
• Interact and coordinate with customer community stakeholders, including acquisition and technical groups, to influence and guide the development of programs mission requirements.
• Advise and consent on critical Multi-INT software development efforts across programs.
• Work within agile framework to lead development of software backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Support continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools.
• Support the SSBU and Program Area Technical Directors with New Business and IRAD investment, to including leading IRAD teams, writing white papers and preparing/conducting demonstrations to customer community stakeholders.
• Represent Raytheon Software Engineering team to the customer during periodic programmatic and technical meetings.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• At least 3 years AWS experience.
• Experience with cloud based architecture.
• Security+ Certification.
• Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Effective communication across multiple locations - in person and virtually.
• Able to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders like senior leaders and customers.
• Experience evaluating new technologies and able to communicate uses of new technologies to meet the customer's needs and visions.
• AWS Solution Architect certification.
• Enterprise Test experience.
• Customer and domain knowledge.
• RTX Software Architecture Program (SwAP) or SwAP or equivalent.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
