The Raytheon Common Product Data Management (PDM) Solutions team works to deliver high-quality data management systems to our strategic business units. The PDM tools are the backbone of what Raytheon does, from initial design to end item manufacturing, including support out in the field. Our team plays a primary, vital role in maintaining this ecosystem. This is a job in a dynamic environment where you will build strong networks and gain competencies with many Raytheon tools and processes.

What You Will Do

The Digital Technologies (DT) Engineering Digital Solutions (EDS) group is seeking a motivated Manager, Business Systems & Transformation Technologist. This candidate will be a Senior Windchill Application Administrator for a product data/lifecycle management system (PDM/PLM). The primary responsibilities of this role will be to successfully develop, implement, enhance, and maintain PDM solutions across various classified programs. To thrive in this role means that you will be a self-starter , working in a fast-paced and diverse atmosphere under limited supervision .

As a Senior Windchill Application Administrator on our digital technology team, you will provide onsite server-side and end user support for multiple active production deployments of the PDM tool-suite. You will actively engage with issues and mentor other application administrators as they work alongside you. Strong collaboration skills are for needed for stakeholder engagements across distributed teams, functional groups, and Programs in various lifecycles of development. You will work with subject matter experts in digital technology, engineering, configuration management, and data management.

As a Senior Windchill Application Administrator on our team, you will be:
  • Responding to help desk tickets or project-driven tasks (for existing production areas). Examples include executing standard procedures for sustainment, deployment, minor patching, or major upgrades of multiple applications, Apache web server, Red Hat Linux operating system, Oracle database, etc.
  • Deploying the PDM tool-suite (for new production areas)
  • Creating and Acceptance Testing new versions of the PDM tool-suite
  • Following, updating, and authoring technical documentation to complete the tasks listed above
  • Mentoring, training, and assisting other members of the team
  • Managing projects, from actively engaging with individuals from multiple functions (cybersecurity, system administrators, program management, engineers, etc.) to collaborating with critical program and functional stakeholders to ensure effective and timely deployment of our PDM tool-suite
  • Utilizing problem solving and troubleshooting skills to lead efforts to resolve issues experienced in production areas


This is a first shift position within our team and will be onsite at various locations across Tucson, Arizona. Travel requirements will be minimal.

This job is extremely dynamic and will provide an abundance of opportunities to engage across functions, programs, and business units. Team members gain a wide breadth of understanding of Raytheon products and processes. Advanced PTC Windchill application training will be provided.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with Linux/Unix commands, operations, and administration
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience in the following technologies, tools, or methodologies: PTC Windchill, Oracle database, Apache web server, Linux & Windows server operating systems, Development (using Java, Python, or Ansible), Shell scripting, CAD tools (e.g. Creo Parametric), Agile tools & processes (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, SAFe, Kanban)
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Knowledge of Raytheon security protocols and processes within classified areas
  • Knowledge of the following Raytheon tools: Common PDM, Common As-Built System, Component Information Management System
  • Experience in the following Raytheon functions: Configuration Management, Data Management
  • Active Secret Clearance

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
